Helen Lee, Pottery Teacher & Member Mentor
Helen Lee studied for a diploma in ceramic design at Epsom School of Art & Design. She also undertook an intensive throwing course at the Leach pottery in St Ives, and spends many hours on YouTube. She has a lifelong interest in Japanese ceramics and is inspired by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada. She has a particular interest in form, examining how we relate to particular shapes and how shapes interact with one another. She is also very interested in the power of working with the hands and how making things can give us a voice we can't always articulate with words.
Helen joined Turning Earth in the summer of 2014 and sells through our studio sales and by commission. You can see her work on our online gallery and contact her via Helen@turningearthceramics.co.uk.
